Position Summary:

The Senior TradeDistribution Manager is responsible for ensuring Trade and Distribution management for the Japanese market including Demand planning inventory management S&OP execution and wholesaler operations Key account Management ex: Group hospital. This position serves as a key liaison between internal stakeholders (commercial quality regulatory) and external partners (wholesalers HQ Group HP). The role demands strong coordination skills industry knowledge and the ability to build a strong relationship with wholesaler and commercial stakeholder.

Primary roles & responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Lead monthly commercial S&OP cycles consolidation Sales forecast and demand inputs driving consensus with stakeholders Serve as primary distribution channel contact for Japan collaborating with local supply planning teams Manage day-to-day relationships with wholesalers ensuring order fulfillment inventory visibility and compliance with distribution agreements Monitor and analyze wholesaler inventory levels stock movements and replenishment needs Coordinate with internal teams (Commercial Finance QA Regulatory) to align on supply demand and commercial strategy Ensure product availability in line with sales forecasts and market requirements Proactively manage supply risks investigate deviations and resolve disruptions across the supply chain Track and report key KPIs: product availability inventory turns wholesaler stock coverage forecast accuracy Ensure compliance with Japanese regulatory requirements (GMP/GDP) and internal SOPs Support product launches discontinuations and changes through structured supply chain planning Not limited to the above.

Qualifications

Required:

• 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical supply chain management
• Strong knowledge of S&OP inventory management and wholesaler operations
• Familiarity with Japans pharmaceutical distribution landscape and local regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills
• Fluent in Japanese and business-level English

Preferred:

• Prior experience managing wholesaler relationships in Japan
• Prior experience managing Specialty care products
• APICS certification (CPIM CSCP) or equivalent
• Working knowledge of data analytics tools (Power BI Tableau etc.)
• Experience in a multinational or matrixed organizational environment
