Overview
The Pool Manager oversees and manages the complete operation of an assigned community swimming pool or aquatics facility. Selects trains and supervises lifeguards to provide a safe and quality swimming pool recreation facility to the community.
Essential Functions
1 Supervises oversees and manages staff; performs hiring scheduling training and performance reviews to ensure productivity and quality standards are maintained; maintains employee records payroll training discipline and other personnel actions.
2 Implements swimming pool rules and policies to ensure safe conditions and operation of facility; oversees staff explaining policies to patrons disciplines and suspends flagrant violators and acts quickly to resolve emergency situations.
3 Monitors and maintains water chemistry by conducting water chemical tests to maintain appropriate water quality and documentation and ensure compliance with health department standards; ensures compliance with health and safety standards ensures water quality and monitors sanitary conditions; performs inspections for general maintenance needs.
4 Performs preventive maintenance on swimming pool mechanical area and grounds which includes disassembling and back washing pool filters to ensure highest water quality sanitary conditions and optimum pool performance.
5 Compiles and submits operating reports which includes daily receipts and attendance and accident and emergency rescue reports to provide accountability of operations; creates and implements scheduling and monitors special events and projects; collects funds monitors registrations and inputs all expenses into managing software.
6 Maintains adequate inventory by ordering all necessary supplies and equipment to ensure availability for uninterrupted operation of pool facility.
7 Handles patron issues and responds to complaints to ensure customer satisfaction; provides excellent customer service and interaction.
8 Performs any and all other work as required or assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
1 Knowledge of pool and aquatics facilities.
2 Knowledge and understanding of safety procedures.
3 Knowledge of pool and chemistry levels and filtration systems.
4 Knowledge of lifeguarding and life saving skills.
5 Knowledge of CPR and First Aid skills.
6 Managing aquatics facility and providing direction.
7 Ability to read and write.
8 Ability to perform labor for extended periods of time.
9 Establishing and maintaining strong relationships.
Experience
- Two season (6 months) Customer Service experience including one season (3 months) Lead Lifeguard
- or:1 year teaching coaching or positions that involve supervising teaching training and/or managing groups of young people typically ages 15- 21.
Licenses and Certifications
CPR/AED
Preferences
Bilingual.
Salary Range
