SALARY: $24.07 per hour - Assistant Educational Signer/Interpreter
$33.29 per hour- Signer/Interpreter- EIPA 4.0

QUALIFICATIONSREQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Proficient sign language skills in a variety of systems
Proficient in American Sign Language required.
Evidence of successful ability to work with the deaf/hard of hearing
Demonstrated ability to carry out prescribed instructional management program
Patience and warmth in working with students
Ability to assume role of educational assistant and role of interpreter
Demonstrated exemplary customer service and responsiveness
Ability to work effectively with professionals in a school setting
Must work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality
Demonstrated punctuality and an excellent work attendance record
Ability to establish and maintain professional cooperative working relationships
Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with staff students and patrons
Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures
QUALIFICATIONSDESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required but would be useful to the position)
Successful experience interpreting for hearing impairedstudents in a school setting.
Bilingual/Biliterate English/Spanish.
Passing score on EIPA prior to start date preferred.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Working with hearing impaired students.
