Your part in our Buderim Hospital team
As part of ourOrderlyteam you willbe responsible forassistingthe nursing staff with the safe transfer repositioning andmobilisationof patients and the setting up of the theatre equipment in preparation for procedures.In addition to this you will:
Assistwiththe transport of patients to and from the ICU ensuring patient safety during procedures and transfersandsupportwithpatient positioning application of diathermy plate suction etc.
Handle and set up the hospital equipment in preparation for procedures and collect and dispose of all waste as per procedures contained in Waste Management
Follow hospital guidelines in relation to Infection Control
Assistnursing team members with various patient proceduresand ensure safe manualhandlingisutilisedand the effective use of mechanical lifting aids

Commitment to the provision of apatient/customerfocusedservice
Proven ability to work as part of a team withgood communicationand interpersonalskillsand the ability to work with limited supervision
Physicalcapacityto performallduties ofthe positionand the ability to work in a manner which preservespatient confidentiality anddignity
Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
