Job Summary
Position Title: NY/Radiation Therapist Oncology Unit
Location: Ithaca NY
Job Type: Contract Travel or Local
Shift: Day Shift 5x8-Hour (7:45 AM 4:15 PM)
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate (Local): $60 $64/hr
Pay Rate (Travel): $76 $78/hr (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to deliver high-quality radiation treatments in a hospital-based oncology unit. The role requires strong technical expertise precision and compassionate patient care while operating advanced radiation therapy systems.
Responsibilities
Administer prescribed radiation treatments using linear accelerator technology
Operate TrueBeam systems and AlignRT/Vision RT surface-guided therapy
Perform Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)
Accurately position patients and verify treatment parameters
Monitor patients during treatment and maintain detailed documentation
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and NY regulations
Collaborate with radiation oncologists physicists and nursing staff
Requirements
Active ARRT certification (Radiation Therapy)
Active NYSDOH license
Minimum 5 years of Radiation Therapy experience
Experience with TrueBeam and AlignRT/Vision RT systems
Strong attention to detail safety focus and patient communication skills
