Summer Student Public Works Labourer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Public Works Department is currently looking for summer students who enjoy working outdoors to join as casual full-time summer student employees. Work may include cart repair and delivery site clean-up traffic control and other general labour duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Summer student - may be required to provide proof of current acceptance or enrolment in full-time post-secondary studies prior to an offer of employment;
• Must have a valid Class 5 drivers licence
• Experience in an industrial or outdoor construction setting considered an asset.
• Please include any labouring experience you may have either at a workplace or around your home.
• A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required prior to commencing work.

HOURS OF WORK AND RATE OF PAY:

Rate of pay: $28.27 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.

Anticipated start date: May 4 2026
