Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist Assistant to support preventive oral care services and help ensure a smooth efficient patient this role you will assist during hygiene procedures prepare patients for treatment maintain equipment and reinforce oral health education.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare treatment areas and ensure all instruments and materials are ready for hygiene procedures
Assist the dental hygienist during cleanings scaling and preventive treatments
Set up and break down operatories in accordance with infection control protocols
Record patient vital signs and medical histories as required
Sterilize and organize dental instruments maintaining compliance with safety standards
Escort patients and prepare them for treatment to support efficient patient flow
Provide oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment care guidance
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting
Monitor and restock hygiene supplies and inventory
Ensure a clean safe and organized clinical environment
Qualifications
Required:
Experience in a dental setting preferably supporting a hygienist or dentist
Understanding of basic dental hygiene procedures and infection control practices
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if required by facility)
12 years of relevant experience
Preferred:
Completion of a dental assisting or hygiene support program
Dental Assistant Certification or related clinical certification
Familiarity with dental software systems
Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
