This position is primarily located at our Cottage Grove office with regular travel to our Florence office.
Preference will be given to candidates that are bilingual in Spanish and English. This position may receive a 5% differential pay based on passing the required language test.
Summary of Duties
Oregon Eligibility Partnership (OEP) provides direction and resources to everyone working to determine eligibility for Oregonians applying for and receiving medical food cash and childcare benefits through the ONE eligibility system. Learn more here.
As a Human Services Supervisor 2 you will:
Provide leadership and support for diversified eligibility and support staff in Cottage Grove and Florence offices by supervising hiring engaging empowering aiding in professional development coaching supporting promoting monitoring performance and providing direction.
Manage staff performance by establishing directions goals and priorities for assigned team members in collaboration with OEP Central Operations OEP Workflow Coordination and OEP leadership.
Collaborate with other local supervisors and managers from agencies such as Child Welfare Self Sufficiency and County AAA partners.
Monitor and analyze local office effectiveness in policy implementation and application. Analyze evaluate and monitor operational effectiveness through reports gathered by reviews routine monitoring and quality control data.
Perform administrative functions to carry out objectives and goals of the department and implement the departments vision leveraging local community resources and department staff and programs.
Anticipate agency needs and direction. Articulate that vision with staff and the community to provide an environment for effective changes to occur. Facilitate changes in services programs community partnerships and use of department resources.
Minimum Qualifications
Four (4) years of lead work supervision or progressively related experience; OR
One (1) year of related experience and a bachelors degree in a related field.

Working Conditions
The work schedule is Monday Friday 8 a.m. 5 p.m. primarily at our Cottage Grove office with regular travel to our Florence office.
Non-conventional work hours are expected in addition to professional work week hours which may include evenings and weekends.
Regular local travel as well as occasional travel outside the local area requiring overnight stays.
Works in an integrated environment where diverse programs partners and staff create the work team.
Frequent contact with the public including contact with community members experiencing emotional and financial stress.
Serve a diverse range of internal and external customers with compassion and professionalism through a trauma informed lens.
General office conditions include high stress environment due to a high-volume workload with short time frames.
Priorities and procedures may change daily and require the ability to be flexible in application of procedures.

The Oregon Department of Human Services does not offer visa sponsorship. Within three days of hire you will be required to complete the US Department of Homeland Securitys I-9 form confirming authorization to work in the United States. Requires a valid drivers license or other acceptable method of transportation for routine travel.
