Subject to formal establishment Joint Boarding process and sS Policies a vacancy will arise for a OF3/OF4 to serve asthe SO1/SO2 IWC CONFLICT PLANNING TEAM at the Integrated Warfare Centre (IWC) Northwood HQ or MOD Shrivenham on VeRR/PTVR/VTOD Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS) with an initial proposed start date from 1 Jun 26.

Up to 90 RSDs per year are available for the right candidate to conduct the role.

Unit Function:

IWCs mission to optimise and adapt the current integrated force through concepts and warfare development to support UK and NATO joint commanders to achieve operational advantage over adversaries across the continuum of competition.

Position Role:

Based out of either Northwood HQ or Shrivenham and offering hybrid remote working this role provides an opportunity to work within a small team working on contingency planning for the CSOC generating high grade OSW and formulating higher command planning guidance and orders for the CSOC. The SO1/2 will play a pivotal role in leading other parts of the CSOC s formulation of operational plans transition to conflict and increasing readiness and preparedness across the command. They will assist with the generation of briefing products and be comfortable in their ability to brief outputs to tri-service mixed rank and senior audiences.

Suitable for any specialisation the role is particularly suited to an officer that has previous experience working in CSOC or a tri service environment. The individual should have experience in operational planning cell participation in JOPGs or in operational HQ operations and plans teams. The individual must be comfortable working on complex projects using initiative and finding solutions whilst engaging routinely with rank up to 2*. A working knowledge of AJP-5 is preferable. A DV or minimum SC is required. Based out of IWC in either Shrivenham or Northwood.
