Your role and responsibilities

In this role youll be at the heart of the Families First programme providing essential business and administrative support that helps the team deliver national reforms and local service improvements.

A typical day might see you coordinating recruitment activity liaising with colleagues across HR and the programme team arranging meetings keeping records up to date and helping ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Youll enjoy variety work collaboratively and play a key role in supporting services that make a real difference to children and families.

You will:

  • coordinate and administer recruitment processes for Families First roles including preparing job packs scheduling interviews managing candidate correspondence and liaising with HR
  • track and maintain accurate recruitment data producing management information on vacancy progress and timetohire
  • support onboarding for new starters coordinating inductions system access and ensuring a smooth start
  • provide daytoday administrative support including diary management arranging meetings preparing agendas and taking minutes or action notes
  • maintain and update programme documentation trackers and information systems
  • draft clear and professional communications for internal and external audiences
  • liaise with internal teams and external partners to support meetings events and stakeholder activity
  • support budget monitoring and process financial transactions where required
  • identify opportunities to improve administrative and recruitment processes and share ideas with the team
  • handle enquiries and provide advice to colleagues on recruitment and programme processes
  • ensure all activity complies with data protection and information governance requirements.

You will need

Were looking for someone whos organised proactive and enjoys working with others we hope you will bring:

  • experience of providing highquality administrative or business support
  • confidence in coordinating processes and juggling competing priorities
  • strong IT skills including Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint
  • clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt your style for different audiences
  • accuracy attention to detail and pride in keeping records and information well organised
  • an understanding of confidentiality and data protection in the workplace
  • a positive flexible approach and willingness to learn new systems and processes.

A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience) is expected. NVQ Level 4 ICDL or similar qualifications are desirable but not essential.
