Receptionist

Floral Haven Funeral Home Crematory and Memorial Gardens is seeking a compassionate and professional Part-Time Receptionist to join our team. This role focuses on front-desk reception duties with the added responsibility of covering our phone-operator position as needed. The ideal candidate brings calm clarity and empathy to every interaction supporting families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist all guests with warmth respect and professionalism.
• Communicate information and instructions clearly ensuring families feel supported and understood.
• Manage multiple guests arriving at once while maintaining a calm steady presence and giving each person your full attention.
• Receive complaints with patience and composure routing them to the appropriate staff member.
• Serve as backup for the phone-operator role answering incoming calls and directing them to the correct team members.
• Support general front-office tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and compassionately.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain composed in emotionally sensitive situations.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a steady sometimes high-pressure environment.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
• Prior experience in reception customer service or a similar role is helpful.

Schedule

• Part-time position.
• Must be available to work weekdays and weekends as needed.
