General Purpose

As an Operations Team Lead youll assist in leading and coordinating the day-to-day activities for the assigned shift including that all resources are assigned in a manner to meet or exceed safety quality customer service and cost objectives.

Essential Functions

• Back up the Operations Supervisorin their absence.

• Ensure team members including temporary employees understand job instructions safety requirements and quality guidelines.

• Identify document and develop solution(s) to workflow problems and issues.

• Lead and coordinate all teams and/or activities for the shift to ensure safety quality customer expectations and cost objectives are met.

• ProvidetheOperations Supervisor with feedback on team member performance.

• Report on customer service employee safety equipment or facility issues to the appropriate personnel.

• Review daily team assignments to ensure that each team is staffed appropriately.

• Update and maintain the schedule to meet customer demand/expectation and/or any information tracking for reports and spreadsheets.

• Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to support daily operations reporting and workflow execution.

• Prior Team Lead or Acting Supervisor experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.

• Working knowledge of inbound outbound picking packing shipping and receiving operations.

• Experience reading understanding and applying SOPs work instructions and process documentation.

• Experience operating or overseeing the operation of material handling equipment including forklifts pallet jacks RF scanners and conveyor systems.

• Experience leading shift handoffs and daily start up meetings.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership.

Skills and Abilities

• The ability to thrive in a very fast-paced environment.

• The ability to fulfill the responsibilities of a physically demanding position constant lifting.

• The ability to consistently lift up to 50 - 75lbs.

• The ability to team-lift up to 250 lbs. occasionally

• Strong communication skills.

• Flexible availability for overtime work.
