We work with clients across the entire project life cycle from initial planning studies through final construction and operations and maintenance services on both traditional and alternative project-delivery options (design-build public-private partnerships and financing). We design projects that are fully constructible.

As part of our continued growth AECOM is seeking a Wastewater Project Manager to join our Treatment Plants team and help deliver transformative wastewater infrastructure programs across British Columbia.

In this role youll lead complex wastewater treatment and pumping station projects manage multidisciplinary teams and partner closely with clients through design and construction. Were looking for a proven project leader with experience delivering municipal wastewater infrastructure and a passion for advancing critical community projects.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Lead and support the delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
  • Apply sound engineering judgment to solve technical challenges and develop practical high-quality design solutions.
  • Prepare engineering designs technical specifications calculations reports and cost estimates to support project delivery.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Support construction administration and field services including reviewing progress and resolving site-related issues.
  • Contribute to business growth by supporting project pursuits and building relationships with municipal and private sector clients.
  • Stay engaged in professional development and industry activities while contributing to technical excellence and innovation.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Environmental Civil Mechanical Chemical or Process)
  • 10 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in the municipal water/wastewater industry      
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in the province of BC (or eligible to become registered within 6 months)

Preferred Requirements

  • 15 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater treatment design and engineering
  • Experience with industry standards and strong working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment design and engineering
  • Motivated team player independent organized with strong business acumen
  • Experience working in the consulting industry and with project management concepts principles and duties
  • Proven ability to write winning proposals and obtain new work
  • Good working knowledge of industry standards and local municipal standards and guidelines are considered an asset
  • Willing to travel to and visit active construction sites providing field review services
  • Valid BC drivers license and access to a vehicle
