Job Description:

At Regions the Software Engineer Manageroversees application development for a department or group within the company.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of system design development deployment acquisition and ongoing maintenance for all application systems within areas of responsibility
• Developstechnology solutions that increase the efficiency of internal business functions resolves business problems and supports the pursuit of business opportunities for areas of responsibility
• Creates and refines operational processes and systems to ensure effective regulatory and audit compliance
• Applies an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to plan design develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
• Evaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements integrates technical parameters and assures compatibility of all interfaces
• Supports the planning organization implementation and monitoring of requirements through management processes
• Partners across Technology Operations Digital and Data (TODD) to ensure controls are designed implemented and monitored to strengthen risk management compliance and cyber security effectively mitigating risk to levels within the companys risk appetite
• Ensures disciplined change management by evaluating risk and control impacts when designing or implementing changes to processes systems products and/or services

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in a related field
• Six(6) years of relevant experience
• Experience as a team leader

Preferences

• Experience in a Technology role in banking or a financial services industry

• Ability to manage multiple projects

• Strong analytical problem solving and conceptual skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of and ability to interpret applicable rules regulations and industry guidance

• Strong understanding of native iOS development using Swift and SwiftUI
• Strong understanding of native Android development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Experience guiding teams through mobile architecture patterns (MVVM Clean Architecture modularization)
• Familiarity with:
• Mobile CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions Harness etc.)
• App Store / Play Store release processes
• Feature flagging and staged rollouts
• Experience with mobile security concepts including secure storage encryption authentication and API integration
• Ability to review code guide design decisions and coach engineerseven if not writing production code daily
• Prior experience in banking fintech or other regulated environments preferred
• Exposure to accessibility standards for mobile apps

This position is intended to be onsite now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position and relocation would be at your expense. The locations available for this role are Birmingham AL Atlanta GA or Charlotte NC.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience skills knowledge contribution job location and most importantly performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
