Role description:
The Resilience Water team seeks an Entry-Level Water Engineer who is dedicated creative and energetic and who is interested in tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions to address water issues such as quality scarcity reuse management and resilience. Collaborating with our experienced water professionals you will support and drive the development of projects interact and work with clients and develop your technical capabilities.
This role sits within our global business area Resilience. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations. Around the world we are feeling the effects of climate change rapid urbanization and the loss of biodiversity. The frequency of large-scale unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires is increasing. We are here to safeguard our natural environment and water resources while ensuring the resilience of future generations.
Role accountabilities:
As part of our team you will be involved in evaluating planning and designing projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance including pipelines pumping facilities stormwater management and green infrastructure. Your support will also extend to project management activities. Additionally you will contribute to sustainability and resilience projects by conducting vulnerability assessments mitigation planning and designing solutions for utilities municipalities and cities.
You will also play a crucial role in supporting Asset Management projects. This will involve utilizing data analytics to perform operational and organizational assessments conducting condition assessments and evaluating the overall performance of water/wastewater/stormwater facilities. By providing valuable insights you will contribute to improving asset management strategies and enhancing the overall performance of these systems.
In addition to the accountabilities mentioned above you will also:
- Support preparation of reports presentations and other audio-visual materials and participate in client meetings.
- Support preparation of design plans permitting and construction activities technical reports and construction documents.
- Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality health and safety standards and facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget.
- Work independently and as part of a team with the flexibility to accommodate collaboration with team members across the U.S. and internationally.
- Learn and use digital tools to enhance customer experience team and client collaboration and project delivery including configuration and deployment of SharePoint Building Information Modeling (BIM) Power BI and Augmented Reality.

Effective communication skills both written and verbal are essential to convey information clearly and collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
Being self-motivated team-oriented and adaptable is important as you will need to navigate and address new challenges as they arise. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills will enable you to tackle complex issues and devise innovative solutions. Knowledge of engineering concepts theories and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater is essential. Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel Word and PowerPoint are also valuable skills that will contribute to your success in this role.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment.
- Experience with AutoCAD ArcGIS and/or Revit
- Experience with modeling software tools such as HydroCAD or StormCAD
- EIT certification

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per salary range for this position is $65578 - $98366 / per year. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
