Senior Application Developer

About Your Role:

As an Senior Application Developer you will provide critical application support and development expertise for our client in Milan a strategically important client generating high revenue annually. The role is customerfacing and requires an Italybased Italianspeaking technical advisor who can respond promptly during local business hours and provide outofhours (OOH) support for highseverity incidents.

You will act as a trusted technical point of contact ensuring application stability rapid incident resolution and effective communication with client stakeholders. This role is essential to maintaining service continuity meeting strict service expectations and protecting a key revenue stream.

What youll do:

  • Provide application development and production support for Numiaowned systems and integrations
  • Act as firstline advisor for application incidents analysis and resolution during Italian business hours. Participate in outofhours (OOH) support for critical production issues as required
  • Diagnose and resolve application defects performance issues and integration failures
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate closely with Numia stakeholders internal development teams and infrastructure partners
  • Support deployments patches and minor enhancements to ensure platform stability
  • Ensure incidents and changes are managed in line with agreed SLAs and governance processes. Maintain accurate technical documentation and incident records
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and application resilience

Experience youll need to have:

  • Strong working knowledge of credit/debit card lifecycle transactions authorisations clearing settlement and billing
  • Handson experience with mainframe technologies including: CICS (online transaction processing) DB2 (data access and analysis)
  • Ability to analyse and troubleshoot issues using mainframe utilities and tools including Eazytrieve
  • Experience supporting APIbased integrations between distributed systems and mainframe applications
  • Solid understanding of production support incident triage rootcause analysis and escalation in a 247 environment
  • Experience working directly with clientfacing payment systems responding to timecritical and businessimpacting incidents
  • Fluent Italian and English (spoken and written)
  • Willingness to participate in outofhours (OOH) support as part of a support rota

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Strong background in cards and payments platforms preferably within largescale financial services environments
  • Experience with VisionPLUS modules (e.g. issuing authorisation settlement or billing components)
  • Experience with distributedtomainframe integration architectures including middleware and APIs
  • Experience operating within ITILaligned incident problem and change management frameworks
  • Prior responsibility for supporting strategic highrevenue clients with strict SLA expectations
