Job Description

The position will report to the Infusion Prior Authorization Pharmacy manager and the pharmacy system director for ambulatory infusion. Work with a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to evaluate medication requests ensuring adherence to guidelines facilitate and complete the prior authorization process in a timely manner entry of medication therapy plans into Epic and communicate to medical teams when needed. The ideal candidate will be motivated possess a wide clinical knowledge base possess excellent communication and time management skills be able to work in a team environment to provide safe and efficient care to patients through timely completion of the prior authorizations follow-through on all assigned tasks be accountable for assigned work metrics and a commitment to optimizing medication access for patients.

Additional Job Description

Education: PharmD or RPh SC pharmacist license in good standing

Previous experience with Epic EMR Epic therapy plans infusion medications and completion of prior authorizations preferred
