TITLE: Lead Revenue Accountant
Job Location: Remote MA RI NH.
WHAT YOULL DO
Own key components ofmonth-end close and GL account reconciliations
Manage thenewrevenue accounting systemRightRev including opening/closing periods as part of the monthly close process.
Prepare and record journal entries related to revenue deferred revenueunbilledand related accounts
Analyze balance sheet and income statement trends todeliveractionable insights to management andsupportdata-driven decision making.
Prepare monthly revenue analysis report for management.
Assistwiththe accounting review of contracts with customers ensuring proper documentation under ASC 606 and that any nonstandard findings are properly documented andset up for theappropriate accountingtreatment.
Own all order management tasks including order activation inSalesForceas well as managing revenue schedules inRightRevto driveaccuraterevenue recognition.
- Proactivelyidentifyand mitigate revenue leakage related to overage invoicing. Areas offocuswill includedetailedreview of contracts with customersto capture invoice mechanics and work with Sales Ops and Accounts Receivable foraccuratebilling.
Support andassistwith implementation of new systems and processes related to usage-based billing and revenue recognition.
Assistwith external audit processes
Drive adoption of automation tools AI ERP enhancements and other process improvements related to new revenue systems.
WHAT YOUVE DONE:
REQUIRED:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
- 4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Working knowledge of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large ERP/CRM systems (e.g. Workday Salesforce).
PREFERRED:
- Experience with revenue accounting systems (e.g. RightRev or similar)
- Proven ability to improve processes systems or operational efficiency
- Experience supporting audits and working cross-functionally both internal and external to finance
Knowledge Skills Abilities & Behaviors:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Want to learn or have experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606 guidelines.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage incoming deliverables.
- Ability to work successfully both independently and in a team environment.

Travel: 0-10%
Work location: This role is remote within MA RI or NH with an expectation to be onsite at the Boston office one to two days per week.

Actual compensation for this role is determined based on a variety of factors including job-related skills experience qualifications internal equity and geographic location where permitted by law.
For reference the expected salary range for this position is generally positioned as follows based on candidate location:
- : Candidates living in the Boston New York CityNewark Los Angeles San Francisco/Bay Area Seattle or Washington DC metropolitan area
This position is also eligible for annual bonus compensation subject to plan terms and individual eligibility.
Final compensation will be determined based on the factors outlined above and in accordance with applicable law.
