Job Summary
We are hiring a Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Snowflake and Power BI to support enterprise data platforms in a Service Delivery / Application Managed Services (AMS) environment.
The role focuses on data pipeline support monitoring performance optimization issue resolution and minor enhancements while ensuring SLA-driven operations. Exposure to SAP data landscapes is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 support for Snowflake data pipelines and Power BI reports.
- Monitor ETL/ELT jobs data loads and report refresh cycles.
- Troubleshoot data issues performance bottlenecks and failures.
- Implement minor enhancements and optimizations in Snowflake and Power BI.
- Optimize queries compute warehouses and data models in Snowflake.
- Maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and DAX calculations.
- Manage data sources gateways refresh schedules and security (RLS).
- Coordinate with Client Business Groups and SAP teams using conceptual knowledge of SAP BW/HANA.
- Participate in incident problem and change management processes.
- Maintain runbooks documentation and knowledge articles.
Mandatory Skills
- 5 years hands-on experience with Snowflake
- 3 years hands-on experience with Power BI
- Strong SQL and data warehousing concepts
- Experience in production support / AMS environments
- Knowledge of data modeling (star/snowflake schema)
- Experience in incident management and SLA-based support
- Conceptual knowledge of SAP BW on HANA
- Experience with cloud platforms : Azure
Good to Have (Optional)
- Exposure to SAP Datasphere
- Scripting knowledge (Python Shell etc.)
- Understanding of ITIL or service delivery processes
