The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established and growing business specialising in the manufacture and installation of high-quality windows doors and associated products across domestic and commercial projects.
This is a key position within the business sitting between sales and installation. You will take full ownership of surveys ensuring every project is accurate compliant and set up correctly from day oneminimising issues and maximising efficiency.
The Role
As a Fenestration Surveyor you will be responsible for ensuring all installations are measured specified and prepared accurately before going to production and site.
You will:
Carry out detailed site surveys for windows doors and related installations
Check and validate all contract details before orders are placed
Identify and resolve any discrepancies between sales site conditions and customer expectations
Ensure all surveys are completed accurately and returned on time
Act as the technical link between sales installation teams and suppliers
Technical Responsibilities
Measure and assess all installations in line with industry best practice
Ensure compliance with FENSA Building Regulations and Health & Safety standards
Assess site conditions access and structural considerations
Confirm product specifications designs and installation methods
Produce clear and accurate survey reports and documentation
Ensure all information is correct for manufacturing with no queries
Commercial Awareness
Identify any underpriced or incorrect contracts
Highlight risks or impractical installations
Support cost control through accurate specifications
Help reduce remedial work delays and material waste
Communication & Coordination
Work closely with sales installation teams and suppliers
Provide clear updates on survey findings and required changes
Support installers with pre-install and on-site queries
Manage customer expectations during survey visits
Post-Survey Support
Assist with technical queries during installation
Help resolve any issues on live projects
Contribute to improving processes and reducing errors
What Were Looking For
Proven experience in fenestration surveying (windows/doors)
Strong technical knowledge of installations and building structures
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to identify and resolve issues proactively
Strong organisational and communication skills
Commercial awareness
IT literate (AdminBase experience beneficial)
Full UK driving licence
