About Boston Prep Boston Prep is a college-preparatory charter public district made up of a single-site middle and high 2025-2026 our community will include 700 students in grades 6-12 nearly 500 alumni over 150 faculty members and hundreds of families. Together we can make a difference in the lives of our students and build a brighter future for our a Speech Language Delivery Providing services in a variety of settings in grades 6-12 including pull-out small group support push-in support in the general education classroom and social skills group. Administering speech language evaluations developing evaluation reports interpreting/presenting evaluation reports at Team meetings. Participating in IEP Team meetings developing IEP goals and tracking student progress Meeting with general education teachers special education teachers and the Director of Special Education regarding implementation of accommodations in regular education classrooms. Maintaining regular contact with parents including writing progress reports at each semester for relevant students. Continually gathering and using data to inform instruction. Actively pursuing professional development inside and outside of the school. Classroom Culture Student Relationships and Family PartnershipBuild strong relationships with students to promote confidence and engagement in mathematics regularly with families about academic progress and intervention families with strategies to support reading development at a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student empathy and maintain high expectations for all in family conferences school events and community engagement and School CultureAttend and participate in weekly staff professional development including One Team meetings department meetings and grade-level collaboratively with colleagues support staff and school positively to Boston Preps collaborative and mission-driven school school systems and structures with in school-wide initiatives that strengthen student Qualifications and Certifications/Licensure:EducationBachelors degree or a related field requiredMasters degree preferredQualificationsExperience supporting struggling students through targeted interventionsLicensed ASHA Certified Speech Language Pathologist. Commitment to the philosophy that all students regardless of disability should be given the opportunity to succeed at the same level as their peers and should be fully expected to do so. Prior experience facilitating the high achievement of Special Education students. Certification:Valid Massachusetts teaching license in the appropriate subject area. OR A passing score on the Communications & Literacy MTEL as well as a MTEL in the content area(s) they teach within their first year of employment at Boston PrepAn SEI Endorsement (core academic and special education teachers only) as defined by DESE within their first year of employment at Boston PrepCompensation:This role is only for 0.8 - 4 Days a weekThe salary range for this role is $74406 - $125759.
