Job Title: Configuration Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Engineer with 24 years of experience to manage and maintain product configuration data within enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of ERP systems Master Data Management (MDM) and product structures such as BOMs and routings. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data accuracy and supporting manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create maintain and update product configurations within ERP and MDM systems
• Manage and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) including buy make and phantom parts
• Develop and maintain routings to support manufacturing processes
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems and engineering documentation
• Collaborate with engineering manufacturing supply chain and procurement teams
• Support new product introductions (NPI) by setting up accurate product structures
• Troubleshoot configuration issues and implement corrective actions
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to data governance and processes

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Supply Chain Information Systems or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in configuration engineering product data management or similar roles
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle or similar)
• Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) principles
• Knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs) routings and part classification (buy make phantom)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and data accuracy
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Familiarity with PLM systems (Oracle is a plus)
• Knowledge of change management processes (ECO/ECN)
• Continuous improvement mindset (Lean Six Sigma is a plus)
