Job Summary
Job Title: Live-In Personal Support Worker (PSW)
Location: Burlington
Schedule: Monday 8:00 AM to Friday evening (Live-In)
Arrangement: Rotation between 2 PSWs (1 week on / 1 week off)
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Support Workers (PSWs) for a live-in role supporting a client recovering from a stroke. This position requires a caring individual who can assist with daily living activities and provide a safe supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care including showering and hygiene support
- Provide light assistance with dressing
- Prepare meals and support basic cooking needs
- Offer companionship and ensure client safety and comfort
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
- Follow care plans and communicate updates as needed
Client Needs
- Client is recovering from a stroke and requires moderate assistance
- Mobility support may be needed (details to be discussed)
- Two large dogs are present in the home (no pet care required but comfort around dogs is essential)
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certified Personal Support Worker
- Experience working with stroke recovery or similar conditions preferred
- Ability to cook and assist with meal preparation
- Comfortable working in a home with large dogs
- Reliable patient and compassionate
- Strong communication skills
