Experienced QA Tester

Role Template Confirmed Application Tester (Functional QA)

Context

For a long-term assignment within a large public-sector digital transformation program we are looking for a Confirmed Functional Application Tester.
The assignment focuses on improving and supporting the quality assurance of a critical operational system in the domain of process planning and control management.

The consultant will work in a hybrid setup (min. 50% on-site) within a structured Agile environment and collaborate closely with business development and functional teams..

Key Responsibilities

• Design write and maintain functional and non-functional test cases
• Prepare test scenarios including test data and environment setup
• Execute manual tests (functional regression exploratory)
• Log classify and track defects through resolution
• Collaborate with development and business teams to support issue resolution
• Validate fixes and perform retesting with stakeholders
• Produce clear test reports and formal test sign-offs (PV/rapportage)
• Contribute to coordination of testing activities in an Agile team

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience in manual functional testing
• Ability to define test cases from functional and non-functional requirements
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum Kanban)
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Mantis (defect tracking)
  • Xqual (test management)
  • Agilitest (test automation basic knowledge required)
• Understanding of:
  • CI/CD basics using GitLab
  • Containerized environments (Docker basic understanding)
  • SQL and database querying fundamentals
• Experience in test analysis execution and defect lifecycle management

• Curiosity and interest in business domain understanding

Profile Level

• Confirmed / Medior Functional Tester
• Recent hands-on experience required (preferably current year)

Language

• French: Native or professional working proficiency

Engagement Model

• Freelance or internal consultant via IT Proposal (detached assignment)
• Hybrid working model (minimum 50% on-site presence required)
