Interconnection Manager

Senior Manager Interconnection Services Energy (MISO/SPP)

Location: Juno Beach FL (Hybrid preferred) or Remote
Type: Contract

We are partnering with a leading energy organization to identify a Senior Manager Interconnection Services to support the growth of new generating assets across the MISO and SPP regions.

This role will play a critical part in managing the full lifecycle of generator interconnection projects from application through agreement execution while working cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the generator interconnection process including application filing queue management and agreement negotiation
• Oversee system impact study reviews and support key technical and commercial decision-making
• Collaborate with ISOs/RTOs (MISO/SPP) Transmission Owners and internal development teams
• Act as a subject matter expert on interconnection strategy and execution
• Support greenfield development and M&A diligence initiatives
• Coordinate across multiple stakeholders to resolve technical transmission and interconnection challenges
• Monitor and interpret regulatory and industry changes impacting interconnection processes

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred)
• Strong background in power systems and transmission planning
• Experience with generator interconnection processes within ISO/RTO environments (MISO and/or SPP preferred)
• Knowledge of NERC reliability standards and transmission planning practices
• Experience with industry tools such as PSS/E PSLF PowerGEM TARA TSAT or ASPEN
• Understanding of interconnection studies policies and regulatory frameworks
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
