We are representing our client a public-listed company in Malaysia with an established presence in the retail and F&B sector. The group operates a diversified portfolio of businesses supported by a strong nationwide network and a growing footprint across multiple consumer segments.

Job Summary

  • To manage the day-to-day functions of the Finance and Accounts including supporting other departments within the Group to enable the Group to achieve its objectives.
  • To manage various co-operate matters including reporting and compliances with Bursa Listing requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day operations of Finance (HRB Groups)
  • Report to Board of Directors on financial and operational matters.
  • To ensure Compliance of the statutory requirements such as IFRS Income Tax Act KLSE SC guideline and Companies Act for the groups financial statements.
  • To prepare budget business plan monthly management and financial reports product costing taxation and other ad-hoc reports as requested.
  • Tax minimisation budget control and effective costing for pricing and cost reduction.
  • To ensure implementation of effective risk management.
  • To involve in cash flow management of the Group.
  • To manage fund raising & investment activity and public listing matters.
  • Review monthly consolidated accounts financial results and management reports.
  • Review and update of budget and investigate material variances in actual results.
  • Review quarterly results and arrange for corporate announcement and liaise with advisors on any corporate exercises.
  • Review the Groups Product Costing.
  • Provide training to other staff on finance related matters if necessary.
  • Review preparation of tax estimates including liaising with tax agents and ensuring timely and accurate tax computation and submission of tax returns.
  • Review and renew non-life insurance policies of the Group.
  • Compliance to safety and health regulations is part of your job responsibility.
  • Implement and oversee internal controls and financial systems to ensure transparency and efficiency.
  • Oversee mergers acquisitions and financial due diligence when necessary.
  • Align financial policies and reporting frameworks across HRB to maintain consistency and transparency.
  • Provide strategic input on business expansions partnerships and investment opportunities.
  • Oversee the IT department (Manufacturing) ensuring technology investments align with financial objectives.
  • Monitor IT expenditures and optimize technology-related costs.
  • Ensure IT systems and financial data security measures comply with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Any other related functions as assigned by the Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce. Possess professional qualification i.e. ACCA/CPA/MIA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 12-15 years progressive experience in finance with at least 2 years in senior leadership (CFO/Financial Controller/Finance Director) roles.
  • Strong background in retail and F&B industry.
  • Proven experience in financial strategy FP&A corporate finance and managing multi-entity group structures.
  • Familiarity with Bursa listing requirements and corporate governance.
  • Strong communication skills for Board-level reporting and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Applicable for Malaysian only.
