The purpose of this position is to assist the K-8 Principal and Executive Director in management of school operations.
The Assistant Principal is the first contact for K-8 student services and student discipline.
SPECIFIC DUTIES QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must have thorough knowledge of federal state and school policies and procedures
Supports the implementation of the state legislative and board curriculum requirements for student success
Assist the Principal and Executive Director with course schedule planning
Assist with maintaining discipline in the student body
Provide support/and or coordinate staff development
Must assist with Administration Duty during the school day and for extracurricular activities
Assist with EC IEP meetings

Teacher evaluations as assigned
Lunch Program Coordinator for Free & Reduced lunch and program vendors
Provides support and collaboration in the implementation of VCS School Improvement Plan
Assist with monitoring school attendance and behavioral support for students as needed
Provides constant support for school safety and security
Coordinates with various community agencies to meet the needs of students as needed
Advanced Placement Coordinator
Must respond to parental questions and complaints via telephone conferences and correspondence in a timely professional manner
Beginning Teacher Support Coordinator
Other duties as assigned by K-8 Principal and Executive Director
This position is essential for daily school operations and requires in person attendance.
