Peraton is building a pipeline of qualified IT professionals to support Florida state government programs in Tallahassee FL. We are seeking candidates across multiple disciplines including application development systems administration architecture and software programming.

Responsibilities will vary based on role but may include:

Applications Development Analyst / Systems Software Programmer

• Design develop test and maintain applications and software solutions
• Support system enhancements integrations and troubleshooting activities
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into technical solutions

Systems Administrator

• Install configure and maintain servers operating systems and infrastructure
• Monitor system performance security and availability
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues

Systems Architect / Applications Architect

• Design and implement scalable secure and high-performing system architectures
• Define technical standards frameworks and best practices
• Provide guidance on system integration modernization and cloud strategies

Across All Roles

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
• Support enterprise IT operations development and modernization efforts
• Ensure compliance with security performance and operational standards

Qualifications will vary based on role

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or an Associates degree and 7 years of experience or a High School Diploma/equivalent and 9 years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
• Minimum of 5 to 12 years of experience depending on role and level
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Application development and software engineering
  • Systems administration or infrastructure support
  • Systems or application architecture
  • Software programming and development
• Experience working in enterprise IT environments
• Ability to troubleshoot analyze and resolve technical issues
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Must be local to Tallahassee Florida

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting state or government environments
• Familiarity with Agile DevOps or ITIL processes
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
• Relevant technical certifications aligned to role
