This is a unique opportunity for an inspirational candidate. Rode and Norton St. Philip First School Federation is a popular and welcoming community based across two village first schools 20 minutes south of Bath. Both sites are idyllic surrounded by countryside and with very supportive parents and village communities. We offer a creative curriculum underpinned by well-structured plans in a nurturing learning environment where we aim to ignite a creative spark in both staff and children.
Our teachers can be based at either site but the postholder will initially teach year 2 or 3 on the Rode site depending on experience and strengths. A consultation is currently taking place in the Frome area which may lead to our school becoming a primary school in the next few years.

We are looking for a candidate who:
-Has experience of delivering the Year 2 and/or 3 curriculum and an understanding of other primary year groups.
-Has strong phonics early reading and SEND knowledge but is also willing to learn.
-Is dynamic a self-motivated researcher of ideas and a reflective practitioner.
-Is committed to the highest expectations of childrens learning and progress.
-Is enthusiastic and imaginative in creating engaging surprising learning experiences.
-Is interested in building childrens oracy and vocabulary.
-Has excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships with our families
-Is nurturing and able to encourage the best from every child allowing all to shine.
-Is a friendly caring team-player with a good sense of humour who can complement our small team and contribute to the wider life of our schools.

We welcome applications from ECTs or more experienced teachers who are committed to doing their very best for our schools and community. The vacancy is for four days a week but this will be extended to full-time (5 days including 20% non-contact time) for an ECT1 at the beginning of their career.
