IMC is currently hiring aRegisteredNurse for our Medical Surgical Unit (Med Surg) who under the general supervision of the UnitDirector and with the authority of the Chief Nursing Officer will applynursing process (assessment planning intervention and evaluation) in caringfor patients. Effectively interact with patient significant others andother heath team members. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary toprovide care based on physical psycho/social education safety and relatedcriteria for the newborn pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric population.

EDUCATION

• Graduate of state approved RN School of Nursing.

TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience preferred but not required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE

• Basic knowledge of nursing process and principles
• Basic knowledge of biologyand chemistry.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assesses collaborates and coordinatesin planning of patientâs discharge needs and readiness for discharge.
• Participates in departmental andhospital improvement plan.
• Functions as a positive role model forpeers and promotes a professional image of Iberia Medical Center.
• Maintains confidentiality security andintegrity of patient and organizational data
• Consistently lives by Iberia MedicalCenterâs Standards of Performance
