Job Summary:
The Hand Solderer II is a mid-level role responsible for performing a variety of soldering operations on PCBAs including both SMT and thru-hole components with minimal supervision. This role requires demonstrated soldering skills the ability to troubleshoot basic issues and consistent delivery of high-quality work.
Responsibilities:
- Perform soldering of SMT and thru-hole components at IPC Class 2 standards with minimal supervision.
- Support PCBA assembly rework and troubleshooting of moderate complexity.
- Conduct inspections identify defects and correct issues independently.
- Maintain production records quality logs and ensure adherence to build documentation.
- Assist Hand Solderer I team members with guidance and informal training.
- Participate in rework processes including hot air soldering and minor BGA rework.
- Collaborate effectively with production quality and engineering teams.
- Escalate issues to senior solderers or supervisors for troubleshooting when needed.
- Follow all ESD safety and company quality procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS(Education & Experience):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 24 years of hand soldering experience including SMT and thru-hole.
- Ability to read and interpret PCBA documentation and mechanical drawings.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 Certification strongly preferred.
