Reporting to the Manager - Contract & Spares Sales the Inside Sales Specialist - Spares and Contracts is responsible to sell or renew the companys services (such as repair or service contracts) via telephone or electronic means to customers in assigned territory industry or accounts. May generate prospective customers through cold calling and may qualify and follow up with sales leads. Focus on lead qualification and lead prospecting. Sales can be made through multichannel inbound and/or outbound sales activities
This position is part of the India Commercial Organization located in Bangalore and will be Hybrid.
In this role a typical day will look like:
- Develop strategies for service business and achieve high growth of incremental customers in India by engaging telephonically.
- Identify and discover new sales opportunities by reaching out to customers who are using Hach instruments but not having service contracts
- For existing contract customers proactively follow up before contract renewal date and explore opportunities to upsell.
- For repair cases identified by field service engineers serves as the liaison between customer and engineer to help customer to understand the repair requirements and follow through the commercial activities with customer.
- Contact customers to understand their needs/requirements and propose solutions accordingly.
- Negotiating and achieving deadlines for the submission of quotations.
- Communicating with customers to gain feedback on quotations.
- Building relationships with customers and potential customers to understand their requirements.
- Use SFDC for effective funnel generation management.
- Maintain accurate and quality records of assign accounts opportunities quotes projects contacts and correspondence in SFDC system.
- Identify business growth opportunities and use PSP to address growth gaps and action plans.
- Implementing daily activities management / visual management rhythms for booking-funnel generation connected dial.
- Achieving relevant targets.
- Other activities that may be assigned from time to time
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Chemical).
- 3 - 5 years of experience inside sales lead qualification and other related fields preferably in water quality analytical instruments or related industries.
- Willingness to relocate across India basis job / company priorities
- Willingness to travel
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Above average written and verbal communication skills in English. Any local languages would be added advantage
- Teamwork and ability to work across cultures locations and business teams
- Expertise in MS office. Exposure to Copilot AI tools would be added advantage
- Proactive and action-oriented with an eye for detail
- Self-motivated with a passion for driving business growth in a rapidly evolving market
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to meet customer needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain customer relationships
