Manufacturing Engineer Intern

Our Auburn plan is part of Regal Rexnords Industrial Powertrain Solutions (IPS) Division and we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern for Summer 2026 to support process improvement production optimization and handson engineering projects within our machining and assembly operations.

Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will work directly with our engineering production and quality teams to support daily operations and improvement projects. This role is ideal for a student who wants realworld exposure to machining processes tooling workflow optimization and manufacturing problemsolving in a highmix precisionmanufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with process improvement projects in machining assembly and material flow
• Support time studies workflow analysis and data collection on the shop floor
• Help develop or update standard work work instructions and visual aids
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities
• Assist engineers with tooling evaluations fixture improvements and process trials
• Support quality checks measurement studies and documentation updates
• Contribute to safety and 6S initiatives across the facility
• Perform other engineering support tasks as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field
• Strong interest in manufacturing machining or industrial processes
• Ability to work handson in a production environment
• Basic understanding of machining concepts and/or measurement tools (a plus not required)
• Strong analytical communication and problemsolving skills
• Willingness to learn ask questions and collaborate with crossfunctional teams
