Position Title: Dental Hygienist Assistant

Duration: Up to 52 weeks (based on candidate preference)

Job Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a reliable Dental Hygienist Assistant to support preventive oral care services and ensure an efficient patient experience. This role involves assisting with hygiene procedures preparing patients for treatment maintaining clinical equipment and reinforcing oral health education.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are ready for procedures
• Assist the dental hygienist during cleanings scaling and preventive care treatments
• Set up and break down operatories following infection control protocols
• Record patient vital signs and update medical histories as needed
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments according to established standards
• Escort patients and prepare them for treatment to maintain smooth workflow
• Provide oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment care guidance
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting
• Monitor inventory and restock hygiene supplies as needed
• Ensure a clean safe and organized clinical environment

Skills & Experience

Required:

• Experience in a dental setting preferably supporting a hygienist or dentist
• Knowledge of basic dental hygiene procedures and infection control practices

Preferred:

• Familiarity with dental software systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Education

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
  OR
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in dental assisting or hygiene support

Preferred:

• Completion of a dental assisting or hygiene support program

Certifications & Licensure

Required:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if required by facility)
• 12 years of relevant experience

Preferred:

• Dental Assistant Certification or related clinical support certification
