Electrical & Power Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Riyadh/NEOM/Jeddah Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)

Role Objective
As the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues its rapid transformation under Vision 2030 the demand for robust digital infrastructure is skyrocketing. We are seeking a high-calibre Electrical & Power Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design implementation and optimisation of power systems for our next-generation data centres. You will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities maintain 100% uptime while navigating the unique climatic and regulatory landscape of Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
1. Power System Design & Engineering
Design and oversee the installation of high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) power distribution systems including substations switchgear and transformers.
Develop and review technical specifications for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and emergency standby generators.
Utilize power modeling software (e.g. ETAP SKM) to perform load flow short circuit and arc flash analysis.
2. Integration of Sustainable Energy
Lead the integration of renewable energy sources (Solar PV Wind) into the data center microgrid to meet KSAs sustainability mandates.
Optimize power usage effectiveness (PUE) through advanced power monitoring and load-balancing strategies.
3. Testing & Commissioning
Supervise Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for critical electrical equipment.
Direct the commissioning of Level 1 through Level 5 (Integrated Systems Testing) to ensure seamless failover and redundancy.
4. Regulatory Compliance & Coordination
Interface with the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) for grid connection approvals and load requirements.
Ensure all designs comply with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) National Electrical Code (NEC) and international TIA-942 / Uptime Institute standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred).
Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) status or equivalent. Membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is mandatory.
Experience: 5 years in data center power infrastructure or heavy industrial power systems.
Technical Expertise: * Deep understanding of N1 2N and 2N1 redundancy architectures.
Language: Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is a significant advantage for local regulatory coordination.
Preferred Attributes
Experience working on Giga-projects (e.g. NEOM Red Sea Global or New Murabba).
Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) or Specialist (ATS).
Knowledge of liquid-cooling power requirements for AI-compute clusters.
