Job Title: Information Security Engineer (Senior)
Location: Hybrid (Washington DC / Macon GA / Boyers PA)
Duration: 1 Year Base 4 Option Years
Job Description:
- Lead cybersecurity strategy threat mitigation and system protection efforts for enterprise environments and mission-critical systems.
- Responsible for designing secure solutions identifying vulnerabilities supporting compliance initiatives and strengthening overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Protect enterprise information systems from internal and external threats
- Identify vulnerabilities risks and security gaps across applications infrastructure and cloud environments
- Design and implement security controls hardening standards and remediation plans
- Support security assessments audits and continuous monitoring activities
- Lead incident response containment investigation and after-action reporting
- Support authorization packages and compliance documentation (SSP POA&M SAR PIA)
- Coordinate vulnerability remediation with infrastructure development and operations teams
- Support security architecture reviews for new systems and enhancements
- Provide technical guidance on cybersecurity best practices and risk reduction
- May lead junior engineers or project teams
Minimum Requirements & Education:
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 8 years of relevant cybersecurity experience
Required Qualifications:
- Prior Federal experience required
- Strong experience in cybersecurity engineering and enterprise security operations
- Knowledge of FISMA NIST RMF FedRAMP standards/frameworks
- Experience with vulnerability management and security tools
- Experience securing cloud environments (AWS / Azure)
- Strong incident response and risk management experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- CISSP CISM Security or similar certification
- Experience with SIEM endpoint security IAM or network security tools
- Experience supporting ATO processes
