RN General Radiology Dept

The Johns Hopkins HospitalsGeneral Radiologydepartment provides clinical management of adult and pediatric patients undergoing x-rays fluoroscopic exams MRI exams ultrasound exams and nuclear medicine and positron emissions tomography (PET) exams including but not limited to: IV access central line management responding to codes urinary catheter management contrast extravasation patient education crisis intervention side effect management and pediatric sedation. Monitoring of patients pre- and post- myelography and lumbar puncture procedures.


Shift:10-hour day shift with occasional evening and weekend rotation; on-call per unit policy

  • RNs w/at least 1 year recent acute care RN experience required but 2 years preferred
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing preferred and Applicants with an Associate Degree in nursing will be considered. per nursing guidelines must matriculate to Bachelors of Nursing program.
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
  • BLS CPR certification required
  • RN experience required

  Applicants with an Associates degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered; provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire

  Salary Range: Minimum 38.49/hour - Maximum 59.66/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
