Clinical Negligence Legal Secretary
Location: Sheffield (flexible and hybrid working)
Salary: 26000 to 32000
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience as a Legal Secretary (ideally within Clinical Negligence Personal Injury or a related litigation area)
Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Clinical Negligence Legal Secretary to join a highly regarded Clinical Negligence department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a capable proactive legal support professional who enjoys working in a specialist fast-paced team and takes pride in delivering excellent client care and high-quality work.
You will play a key role supporting the Head of Department and the wider team of fee earners on a varied and complex caseload of clinical negligence matters.
Key responsibilities will include:
- High-quality secretarial and administrative support including audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence
- Diary management scheduling appointments and supporting file opening and closing procedures
- Producing and preparing Court documents and electronic bundles
- Liaising with clients and professionals via telephone and email
- Supporting forms and case management processes including invoicing and billing
- Assisting with audit preparation for Legal Aid and ATE providers
What Were Looking For
- At least 2 years experience as a legal secretary ideally within Clinical Negligence Personal Injury or a related litigation area
- Experience working with an electronic case management system (working knowledge of Partner for Windows would be an advantage)
- Strong understanding of clinical negligence case funding (ATE/BTE)
- Knowledge of Legal Aid funding and CCMS would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive and professional approach
- Exceptional attention to detail organisation and time management skills
