This is a temporary position and no leave or retirement benefits are offered. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position to work in a temporary position. All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.
Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. OSHR supports the Governors Job-Ready initiative and seeks to expand temporary skill sets to enhance their qualifications for State government and private-sector jobs. This temporary position is located at 517 West Fleming Drive Morganton NC 28655- Burke County with the NC School for the Deaf.
Provide medical care for students who are ill or injured between the ages of 4-22.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $35.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

Management Preferences:
Management of students with chronic health conditions
Ensure all students immunizations are current including the administration
of annual influenza vaccinations.
Provide health education to students families and staff
Administer medications that are scheduled and per MD standing orders
Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records
