The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities employs over 1900 staff and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications including power generation transmission and distribution oil chemical and gas industrial manufacturing semiconductor and data centers as well as building and transportation sectors.

How youll make an impact

1.You will develop implement and maintain robust process control plans to ensure consistent product quality across all manufacturing stages from raw material input to final product assembly.

2.You will lead root cause analysis investigations for process-related quality issues using tools such as 5-Why fishbone diagrams and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).

3.You will conduct regular quality data analysis (e.g. defect rates customer complaints process variation) to identify quality gaps and improvement opportunities and develop targeted improvement plans.

4.You will conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes equipment and workstations to verify compliance with established quality standards operating procedures and safety regulations.

5.You will initiate and implement quality improvement projects (e.g. Lean Six Sigma DMAIC PDCA) to reduce process variation waste and non-conformance rates.

6. You will be handling customer quality complaints including receiving feedback conducting RCA 8D report and CPAP follow-up.

7. You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your background

1. You hold a bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical Electrical Industrial or related field).

2.2 years of experience in quality engineering process improvement or a related role preferably in specific industry e.g. manufacturing healthcare automotive.

3.Experience with quality management tools and methodologies: Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred) SPC MSA FMEA CP and SPC.

4.Strong data analysis skills with experience using software such as Excel Minitab.

5.Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards and regulations (e.g. ISO 9001 IATF 16949).

6.Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.

7.Fluent in English both spoken and written is mandatory in this position.
