Your profile:
The Medicinal Protein Chemistry department is looking for a Bachelor or Master level (HBO or University) student for an internship or graduation internship for a minimum period of 5 months starting September 2026.
Preferably you already completed a relevant internship at another company or at a university with relevance inorganic chemistry or molecular lifesciences.
Brief general description for Medicinal Chemistry: Design synthesis and characterization of novel payload and linker-payload molecules as intermediates for the synthesis of antibody-drug conjugates. The project comprises route design multistep synthesis purification by multiple techniques and basic characterization of intermediates and end products by for example HPLC LC-MS and NMR. End products (free payloads and conjugates thereof) will be evaluated by our in vitro pharmacology group and results will be reported back to establish a structure-activity relationship.
Brief general description for Protein Chemistry: Design synthesis purification and characterization of novel antibody-drug conjugates and similar conjugates. The project comprises conjugation of small molecules to antibodies or other proteins purification by multiple techniques such as column chromatography and filtration and basic characterization of the conjugates by for example different HPLC-based techniques. Conjugates will be evaluated by our in vitro pharmacology group and results will be reported back to support further optimization.
