As our Junior Buyer youll support HIDs success by:

Summary

Assist the Head of Purchasing in maintaining the smooth operation of daily purchasing activities and to achieves company objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Generate Purchase Orders to suppliers (common raw materials & indirect purchases) after vetting all purchase requisitions are in order.
   1. Purchase of materials : Co-ordinate with warehouse & supplier daily on delivery JIT mode.
   2. Sourcing/Purchase of in-direct materials stationery hardware & services
   3. Supports on PR/Fix asset/Petty cash buy requested by internal team.

1. Analyze capacity material availability to help to determine the schedule material.

1. Communicate with planner and sales to understand demand.

1. Manage sub-con of material planning and semi-material delivery.

1. Ensure sufficient inventory at all times of the safety stock materials practice prudent purchasing and prevent over-stocking.

1. Ensure that all delivery complaint from production are duly attended and follow-up with suppliers and warehouse.

1. Request quotation negotiate pricing and liaise with suppliers on matters pertaining to:
   1. Sample requisition
   2. Requisition for Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and Chemical Safety Data Sheet (CSDS)
   3. Balance order / damaged / wrong delivery or returned of rejected raw materials

1. Maintain and create new item code for purchase materials and maintain/ updating procurement information in ERP system

1. Handling import shipments; liaise with supplier and shipping department all on documentation required for import clearance matters.

1. Prepare reports on purchases including cost analysis.

1. Ensure all record & documentation are accurately up-to date & filed.

1. Maintain/ review preferred supplier list and add/ remove suppliers.

1. Facilitate tenders for services and high value orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year working experience in the related field such as those has working experience as Procurement Officer / Materials Buyer / Tactical Purchaser / Technical Buyer
• High level of integrity assertive honest

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelors Degree in any disciplinary or equivalent.

Language Skills

• Able to read and write in English Bahasa Malaysia Mandarin.

Computer Skills

• Knowledge of Oracle/SAP
• Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word Excel PowerPoint etc.
• Familiar with operating systems such as Windows etc.

Work Environment

• Employee works primarily in a manufacturing environment with in a well ventilated area and is exposed to moderate noise levels.
