Hypebeast is seeking a Social Media Editor to build and lead the social media presence of Hypegolf Japan. This role will report to the Global Business Lead of Hypegolf while working closely with the Global Social Lead at Hypebeast.
We are looking for a culturally fluent storyteller and connector with a deep understanding of golf fashion footwear F&B and the broader cultural landscape surrounding the sport. This role will be instrumental in shaping and growing Hypegolf Japan social strategy through innovative impactful and social-first content combined with authentic storytelling.
Working in close collaboration with global social teams as well as regional editorial and brand partnership teams you will identify anticipate and help lead cultural movementscontributing to the growth reach and influence of both Hypegolf Japan and Hypebeast Japan.

- ソーシャルメディア領域での実務経験2年以上できればグローバルなゴルフブランドでの実績がある方
- ゴルフ業界および市場トレンドに関する高い理解

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute social media strategies for Hypegolf Japan and Hypebeast Japan with a primary focus on Instagram.
- Conduct ongoing research on market trends cultural movements and competitors across golf fashion and youth culture and translate insights into content strategies and proposals.
- Set monitor and achieve KPIs while driving traffic and identifying advertising and media partnership opportunities.
- Plan and manage daily content calendars including copywriting scheduling and publishing.
- Create and edit news-driven and original content (image and video) delivering high-engagement storytelling through graphics text and motion.
- Grow and engage audiences particularly Gen Z and foster community development.
- Monitor breaking news viral content and user-generated content (UGC) across platforms.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging social media tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with global social and editorial teams to drive cross-posting and content synergies.
- Partner with regional sales teams to review and propose social strategies for brand partnership campaigns.
- Analyze performance data and continuously optimise strategy while sharing insights internally.
- Produce performance reports covering owned and competitor channels including growth drivers trends and recommendations.
- Propose and execute localised social strategies for Hypegolf Japan aligned with global HQ policies.
- Lead social initiatives for Hypebeast Golf Invitational and related events.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in social media management (experience with global golf brands is a plus).
- Strong understanding of the golf industry and market trends.
- Passion for golf and local golf culture.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
- Experience with social media management and analytics tools with solid numerical literacy.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in photography and video production/editing.
- Basic content creation skills using Adobe Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of Hypebeast and Hypegolf content both locally and globally.
- Self-motivated collaborative and able to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across teams and functions.
