Summary
The Finance Analyst II performs a variety of complex accounting and/or budget functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs financial/accounting services primarily supporting one of the CFO functional areas (Disbursements General Accounting Budgets & Rates or Financial Planning & Analysis).
- Processes accounting documents or assembles forecast data from various sources in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepares working papers required to record accounting and/or budget activities.
- Accumulates and analyzes accounting charges or forecast data and develops budget forecasts.
- Compiles data for periodic accounting and/or budget reports for distribution and determination of cost variances.
- Analyzes data to identify recurring problems.
- Analyzes and interprets accounting and/or budget data and presents conclusions to management.
- Assists in the development of detailed procedures and work instructions in the accounting and/or budget area.
- Effectively interfaces and builds strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Assists in training of personnel in various accounting and/or budget activities.
You Must Have
- Bachelors Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of Finance Business or related experience; OR in lieu of a degree a minimum of four (4) years Finance Business or related experience.
- Ability to travel as determined by the needs of the business
- Ability to work remote hybrid or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance(some positions require additional DOE designations)
