What Youll Do
- Directs oversees coordinates and supervises janitorial activities in a professional craft environment specifically the supervision of janitorial and custodial duties
- Makes recommendations to effectively accomplish assigned duties and maintains all applicable records necessary to document the operations within area of responsibility.
- Manages personnel and material resources following all operation policies union agreements and safety health and security standards
- Responsible for the oversight of all custodial activities on job sites.
- The employees primary duty is management of the enterprise or of a customarily recognized department or subdivision thereof and includes duties such as: interviewing selecting and training employees; setting and adjusting work hours; maintaining production records; appraising employee productivity and grievances; disciplining employees and planning and apportioning work among employees.
- Participates in worker involvement including input to work planning and methods to identify hazards and controls.
- Understands a workers right to stop work when they feel their own or others personal safety is jeopardized.
- Attends all required safety meetings and training. Offers suggestions on improvements to the work environment.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- NOTE: Applicants without a Bachelors Degree may be considered based on a combination of 13 or more years of completed education and/or relevant experience.
Department of Energy (DOE) Order 426.2A Requirements
In addition to the above requirements the applicant must also meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A (i.e. High School diploma and 3 years nuclear experience or a DOE O 426.2A alternative). DOE O 426.2A experience requirements can be satisfied following the interim newly hired personnel will not be assigned duties that could impact the safety basis of nuclear facilities. (Ref. DOE O 426.2A)

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph pursuant to 10 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 709. Medical requirements may apply.
