Job Summary

The Manager Change Management and Communications is a key member of the Business Transformation Office reporting directly to the Director Change Management & Communications APEC GC (Asia Pacific Excluding China Greater China). This role is responsible for the operational execution of change management and communications activities supporting associate engagement and adoption throughout Marriotts Digital Technology Transformation (DTT) program a multi-year initiative transforming Marriotts technology and business process ecosystem across the APEC and Hong Kong Taiwan Macau (HMT) markets.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the DTT Program including Global Change Management Communications Deployment Learning and APEC GC Stakeholder teams to deliver a coordinated and high-quality experience for associates at all levels.

Success in this role requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills strong project management discipline proven experience in employee recognition and reward programs and the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders across diverse markets.

This role is open to candidates based in APEC and HMT locations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Communications Execution

  • Develop and maintain a master communications calendar coordinating all deliverables through a structured review process while adhering to defined timelines.
  • Create clear compelling and audience-tailored communications content including executive messages FAQs newsletters digital updates and change announcements for APEC and GC/HMT associates.
  • Manage end-to-end production and distribution of communications ensuring quality consistency and alignment with program messaging.
  • Coordinate and support translation workflows managing regional language reviews and stakeholder approvals.
  • Manage deployment communications execution working closely with Deployment Continent and program teams to meet defined success measures.
  • Prepare timely status updates briefing notes and presentations for senior leaders and executives.
  • Support and coordinate town halls all-hands meetings and associate communication events.
  • Support Marketing Cloud communications execution including content preparation and distribution workflows.

2. Employee Recognition & Reward Program

  • Track coordinate and implement the employee recognition and reward program celebrating milestones acknowledging quick wins and reinforcing positive behaviours throughout the transformation journey.
  • Manage program mechanics including gamification competitions awards peer recognition initiatives and celebratory events ensuring alignment with program goals.
  • Partner with APEC GC/HMT teams to facilitate listening forums that surface what is working well and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor recognition program participation and impact providing data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with HR and regional teams to align recognition efforts with existing associate engagement frameworks and Marriott values.

3. End User Council Management

  • Coordinate and manage the End User Council (EUC) including scheduling agenda preparation participant communications and follow-up tracking.
  • Maintain accurate records of EUC meetings decisions and action items ensuring accountability and timely resolution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for EUC members facilitating a consistent and structured engagement experience.
  • Compile and share EUC insights and feedback with program leadership to inform decision-making.

4. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support the development and execution of a comprehensive stakeholder engagement plan for APEC and GC/HMT including stakeholder mapping and engagement cadence.
  • Coordinate and facilitate regular stakeholder check-ins workshops and briefings to gather input address concerns and communicate program progress.
  • Prepare briefing materials presentations and talking points for executive stakeholder engagements.
  • Monitor stakeholder sentiment throughout the transformation and apply insights to refine engagement approaches.
  • Support the onboarding and continued engagement of Continent Subject Matter Experts and Change Champions across APEC GC/HMT.

5. Project & Program Management

  • Own and maintain a master project tracker for all communications and engagement workstreams monitoring timelines milestones dependencies and resource allocation.
  • Proactively identify manage and escalate risks and issues proposing timely solutions to keep workstreams on track.
  • Prepare and distribute regular project status reports for the Director and program leadership.
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs from Deployment Learning Business Process and Continent teams to maintain integrated project plans.
  • Support program governance processes including steering committee presentations and change readiness reviews.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Communications Public Relations Marketing Organisational Development or a related field; masters degree preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant professional experience in communications employee engagement or program management with a track record of exceptional performance.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee recognition rewards or engagement programs within a large-scale organisation strongly preferred.
  • Experience with large-scale business or digital transformation programs preferably in the hospitality industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience in or consulting for a large-scale global enterprise strongly preferred.
  • On-property or above-property experience in the APEC GC region strongly preferred.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills; additional Asian language proficiency preferred.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to craft clear and audience-tailored content for senior executives managers and frontline associates.
  • Proven experience designing and executing employee recognition and reward programs with creativity in incentive design and an understanding of engagement psychology.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and support stakeholder engagement plans including stakeholder mapping structured outreach and feedback mechanisms.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to deliver quality outputs consistently and accurately.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics and reporting to measure program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
  • Outstanding presentation and facilitation skills both formal and informal.
  • Self-starter with confidence enthusiasm and a strong service orientation.
  • Ability to work effectively with and influence cross-functional teams in a matrixed organisation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and collaboration tools such as SharePoint Teams and Marketing Cloud.
