Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth this Summer were looking to add a Test Engineering Intern located in our Memphis TN site.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager the student will assist with daily engineering tasks while learning collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.
What a typical day looks like:
- Execute functional tests on various electronic devices or hardware components.
- Use diagnostic tools and software utilities to evaluate functionality and identify issues.
- Perform visual inspections functionality checks and test documentation.
- Record defects error codes and test outcomes accurately.
- Help maintain test benches cables tools and basic equipment.
- Ensure that test environments follow ESD safety and operational guidelines.
- Support technical troubleshooting under guidance from senior technicians or engineers.
- Document failure modes inconsistencies and testing variances.
- Support quality audits to ensure compliance with SOPs and technical standards.
- Perform rootcause analysis for recurring failures using Pareto 5 Whys and fishbone diagrams.
- Maintain detailed logs and ensure accurate data entry into tracking systems.
- Assist with reporting KPIs such as FPY test failure rates process accuracy and rework cycles.
- Support basic analysis using Excel or Power BI.
- Evaluate testing workflows for bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Suggest improvements to test procedures documentation and bench layout.
- Support 5S standard work and visual management within technical operations areas.
- Create or refine SOPs test checklists workflow documentation and quickreference guides.
Student qualities were seeking for this internship assignment:
- Currently enrolled student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Industrial Engineering or related field (undergrads only)
- Interest in diagnostics quality or handson technical work
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
- Comfortable working in a lab or warehouse environment
- Basic experience with Excel or similar tools
Internship Program Requirements:
- Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
- Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
- 3.0 minimum GPA
