About the company
Remote World is partnering with a US-based localisation agency to hire for this role. They translate marketing legal product and editorial content for clients expanding into Southeast Asian markets.
The role
Youll translate and localise content between Vietnamese and English maintaining accuracy natural tone and cultural relevance across a wide range of content types. Youll work from detailed style guides and deliver translations that read as if written natively.
What youll do
- Translate marketing copy product content and UX strings from English to Vietnamese and vice versa
- Localise idioms and cultural references so content lands naturally for the target audience
- Proofread and quality-check translations produced by other team members
- Maintain glossaries and translation memories in CAT tools
- Liaise with clients to clarify ambiguous source content
What youll need
- Native or near-native Vietnamese and fluent English
- Strong sense of tone you translate meaning not just words
- Reliable and deadline-driven
- Comfortable working with style guides and brand voices
Nice to have
- Experience with CAT tools like SDL Trados memoQ or Phrase
- Background in marketing legal or technical translation
- Degree in translation linguistics or a related field
