A secondary school in Milton Keynes is seeking a skilled Design Technology Teacher to join its department from September. This role offers the opportunity to teach a subject that encourages creativity problem-solving and practical skill development across the secondary age range.

The Role

Depending on your specialism you may focus on areas such as resistant materials product design or general Design Technology. There may also be opportunities to support Key Stage 5 teaching.

  • Supporting students during practical workshop sessions

  • Teaching design theory and manufacturing processes

  • Supporting GCSE Design Technology preparation

  • Maintaining health and safety standards within the workshop

  • Working collaboratively with the wider DT department

  • Good classroom management skills

  • Ability to teach KS3KS4 confidently

Experience teaching KS5 Design Technology would be advantageous but is not essential.
