Job Summary
Construction Project Manager - Pre-engineered Steel Buildings
Location:Langley BC
Employment Type:Permanent Full-time (Mon - Fri in the office with occasional travel to site)
Must Haves:
- 8 years experience in commercial and/or industrial construction.
- Relevant construction management education.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong coordination and organizational skills.
- Proficient in computer software including Excel Word and Microsoft Project.
- Ability to work efficiently both within a team and independently.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience in Structural steel or pre-engineered steel buildings.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of construction ensuring effective communication with owners consultants and sub-trades.
- Lead on-site personnel which includes superintendents and/or sub-trades.
- Oversee project initiation scheduling and cost control.
- Prioritize and promote safety while ensuring projects are executed on schedule and with high quality.
- Prepare progress invoices manage change orders to the owner and oversee purchase orders/change orders to sub-trades.
- Close out projects efficiently and thoroughly.
